Bloodstone to me is the dictionary definition of a guilty pleasure. The film is honestly insane, with so many quotable lines, funny scenes and is frankly just a good time. It is 90 minutes of pure joy. There is honestly an on-foot chase scene where (and I’m not making this up), a girl says many times that she needs the toilet and wants to know where a toilet could be. I laughed out loud many times and I have no shame in that. I knew from the start I was in for a treat when I was bobbing my head along to the menu song.
But being a bit critical for a small second. Is the acting of the best quality? No. Is there a questionable American actor in brown face and doing an Indian accent? Yes there is. Is the action bad? Kind of yeah. But honestly bloodstone doesn’t try and act like its the next Citizen Kane. It just a fun film that as long as you are not expecting anything less than a guilty pleasure then I honestly believe anyone and everyone can enjoy Bloodstone.
