I struggled to finish, Inferno of Torture. Women are treated so poorly in this film; it is just cruel and simply nasty. I honestly found this hard to watch but not in a way like 12 years a slave, which is hard to watch because of its dark and accurate portrayal of history. Inferno of Torture is hard to watch because the amount of torture towards women was completely unnecessary and didn’t need to be in the film. The opening of this film is women having their vaginas mutilated and women being behead.
This is going to be a short review as I really didn’t vibe with this film. I’ll quickly say what I liked about the film. I liked the story line about the 2 competing tattoo artists, I honestly wish that was the whole film. I thought the tattoo artwork all looked impressive and I thought that the film was well made. But when I think about this film, I keep remembering how nasty it was towards women. People might like this film and get something out of it but honestly, I didn’t really like it but I didn’t hate it.
